Cloud
This connection method allows you to connect to the board from anywhere in the world.
The board must have Internet access. The connection can be via cable or Wi-Fi. Your network must have Internet access. The board must have built-in support or an external Ethernet or Wi-Fi module.
Communication is performed through an intermediary — a cloud server. The board oller remains permanently connected to the cloud server. The RemoteXY app connects to the cloud server only when needed. In this connection mode, the cloud server acts as a mediator. This method does not require any additional router settings — Internet access is sufficient.
A Token is used to identify the board and the phone on the cloud server. The token is stored on the board and must be entered in the app when adding the device. You can obtain the token from your personal account on remotexy.com. The token is a unique board identifier — do not share it with anyone for security reasons.
Note. The RemoteXY cloud server does not store any data from the board and does not accumulate archives when the phone is not connected to the board .
When connecting to the board in the app, you must specify the address of the cloud server on the Internet and the token. The phone must have Internet access.
You can use the public RemoteXY cloud server or deploy your own cloud server. Deploying your own cloud server is recommended if the project is used for commercial purposes.
This connection method is suitable for devices that require connection from anywhere in the world. However, this method has the highest data delivery latency. It is most likely not suitable for devices requiring fast real-time control, such as quadcopters and moving robots.
